damn you for sleeping with the enemy .....how does the maxima compare to the v6 camry performance wise? i was seriously looking into getting one but everyone i went to see had over 200km and it made it hard to convince my parents it was a good car if i myself wasnt too sure so i ended up getting a camry with 105km for around the same price i would of with the maxima's....good luck and happy trails with your new car

OMG. The power difference is like night and day. It drives like it's a 2000 pound 2door or something. And it's a 5spd so that's a plus. I drove 200 miles down to VA to get it. I actually just made my first change to it yesterday.

3rd Generation Secretly... he is right!

Well..... to be purfectly open and honest.. I drive the 1994 XLE V6 Camry.. and I got my wife (in 2003) a NEW 2003 Max GLE loaded.... nav, bose, leather, moon roof... and... WOW...
That 3.5 VQ.... HO-LE SCHMOKES..... It WILL get up and get outta it's own way... It will run. The ONLY car that Toyota has that will compete.... IMHO is the NEW Avalon... and THAT is one bad ride there! 4.0L V6 VVTi and 285ish ponies! NOW we're talking... ANYWAY... I have a 2001 Tundra 4x4 Limited, A 1994 Camry V^ XLE and a 2003 Nissan Max GLE... The Cam is the MPG KING... and the Max is the speed demon.. and the Tundra is the Yamaha Raptor and Bruin hauler!

FYI...

the max is def. a nicer and faster car... the V6 has alot of potential if you "over night parts from Japan"<<< only kidding but seriously they do have potential for good HP gains....

GaviN- How do you like your SE-R? What do you have done? How does it drive and ride? Have you ran it?

Here is the first thing I've done to it. I painted the center for the "aluminum" look.

Well.....I sold the camry for $4300 with everything except the Sony Deck. I paid $4300 for the max. I just learned how to drive a 5spd and I'm still learning. It's fast as hell though. I still expect a ride in your cam. I aint forgot.

Nice max. If i could afford the gas of a v6 I would definately get one. Right now I'm thinking about selling my eclipse to get back a gen 3 Cam. I saw this sweet 4 cyl. XLE with wood and leather interior, sunroof and it has 85,000. I think I'm gonna try get it.
