3rd generation. I have 3rd and 4th and the 3rd is better built. Dashboard is nicer it leans toward the driver (like in BMW) and overall is better car.

Gotta be 3, since I have it. 4 has a lot of potential with more parts and better looking kits IMHO. Gen5 can be modified to VIP style easy, more power too, so I guess its 3 then 5.

125 front wheel horsepower with major retard issues between 4500-5200RPM -
OD switched off, even when not in 3rd results in major power loss/rpm drop.

I did a search first and found a SIMILAR thread, but it was based on Hp, and which was the most potential for HP gen.

love the gen 3, my dad has the gen 4, i still choose my gen 3 over his gen 4, just a better car overall in my opinion.

gen 3.5, lol. the 4th gen looked too squarish to me and i couldn't afford a 5th gen so i kinda gave up on those. gen1 is cool cuz it started everything and gen 2.....i dunno, it resembled too much of the accord of those years. gen 3.5 is the sportier looking gen 3 and has a very decently built interior, exterior and overall value.

I have the Gen 3.5 as well, so far I'm very happy with it.
It's a manual, which is a bonus for a young guy like me.

It has to be the generation 4 Camrys. Those were the ones that started the "Best-selling midsize-sedan" winning-spree if you will. And I'm proud I drive one.
