I just bought some super white leds for my camry from the web site that white3ch0c0late told me about www.superlumination.com and was wondering if they are legal to use on the clear side marker here in california?, its the clear part that is next to the head lamps on a 96.
Thanx.

I would advise you not to use 5mm LEDs for something that you actually want people to see, because the viewing angle of them is so shitty. If you want to do things correctly use some superflux LEDs. If you need more info check out www.hidforum.com
Anything up front has to be amber. Especially your turn signals.
No, thats wrong. It can be white light. Your turn signals are the only ones required to be amber. But the bulbs in front can't be blue or red or any other colors. He's changing his corner lights, not his turn signals.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
here in Indy, i have LED bulbs for the corners and sidemarkers that are "white" but have a bluish tint to them and have never had a problem in well over a year. (It also depends on how strict the police are in your area)

I don't know anywhere where you can have different color turn singals and side markers. They have to be yellow amber or oragne. Again it really depends how strict the cops are and if they want to write up a ticket for it. As for a safety inspection...I highly recommened putting in the amber bulbs before hand, you could get a dick that will fail you for it.
In your position, dude... I'd just install it... if you get pulled over for it (which I doubt you will), all they will do is give you a fix-it ticket (no $$)... in which case all you'd need to do is replace the bulbs back to amber, go show the sherriff, and you're good... and then put the white ones back in. =P I changed my license plate bulbs to super white, and I have no idea how legal that is... but if a cop pulls me over, I'll just change them back, go show the sherriff, and then put the white back in. No big deal..

When I ordered the bulbs, they were shipped out on Saturday, and I got them on Tuesday. They send it by snail mail, but since its coming from AZ, it doesn't take too long.
LOL, yeah, even if they were to pull you over for a broken tail-light, they'll ask for a DL. lol

For $2 bills of shipping it defenetly sounds like they use "snail mail"

$2 is expensive! dang....reinstall the white bulbs after you get a FIX IT ticket? lol. now you guys are hardcore lol. that's like speeding right after you get pulled over for speeding? hahahah.
"alright kid, set your cruise control on 70 and be on your way"

Well i guess that i should not get pulled over. i think that i wont because my old minivan had clear conners kind of like the camry does and it also has the yellow turn signalm so every time i would use the turn signal the clear coner will light up almost white and with that light it give you 45 degrees of extra light so i think it shouldnt matter much. And i've also seen other cars around town whith those white bulbs but theirs looked like they bought the regular 194 that is only painted light blue. I will also buy some more white leads for the cluster and on the shift cluster. ive seen on another post that they used the white leads and the shift cluster looks so cool, being nice and bright.
