ok so i did a search on motor swaps and i found the following: http://toyotanation.com/forum/t85347.html

so i just wanted to make sure i understand this thread correctly... so if i have a 98 5sfe 5 spd and i wanted to swap to a 1mzfe i could use the same tranny ? and what about if u run a trd supercharger off the 1mzfe will the tranny still take it like a champ ?
sorry all... this engine to tranny thing is a real nut scratcher for me

yes you can use the same tranny ........ will the tranny take the s/c no. will the tranny last long with the 1mz no. are you still looking to be ahead with a s/c or turbo 5s yes.
