TRD/Bilstein suspension installed in an ES300

Though this thread should probably be under the Lexus link, but since the TRD/Bilstein suspension is part of the Gen4/Solara Camry platform, it would get more exposure.

I just helped my friend put in the suspension yesterday in his '98 ES300 and guess what...everything fits!!! He has less than 2 finger gaps in both the front and rear. Here are some pictures.

I assume your friend didn't get the adjustable suspension option for his ES, I wonder if that's compatible.

Hmm...didn't know there was an option like that for the ES. Oh well, either case, the previous owner probably had no use for them anyway.

Hey Luc, glad to see you guys got the struts in and installed them. How does it like the ride now ?? I can't believe how much thicker the rods are on the TRD next to the OEM. Looks great !

He likes it very much: no more nose diving when braking and much reduced body roll when cornering. However, he does have the typical knocking sound from the driver's front strut mount, so hopefully, we'll get that resolved. Overall, it was worth it.

The springs are from a Gen4, so it's the Eibach 1.2" drop, though it looks more than that.
