2nd Generation A/C questions, any one answer?

I had a A/C clutch seize on me while on my way to a DB Drag race in hesperia, I was taking the I-15 going up thru the pass and as anyone in the So Cal area knows thats a bit of a climb, found out it was the clutch when I got out there, but I dident know enugh of what had happend to do anything about it... turns out the damn clutch ground the end off the compresser, so I had to replace both, I was being cheap and bought a rebuilt clutch and went to the junk yard to find me a compresser.. no luck in finding a good one kinda lose all intrest in fixing it after that, flash forward 2+ years and now its getting hot again so I get a rebuilt compresser and clutch and now the A/C butten wont turn it on... I can force it by givin it power but then I dont get the car telling the clutch to shut off when it needs to r reving the sngien higher like its supposed to. also before all this happend the A/C butten light that indacates its on started to blink, and I wouldent get any cold air out of it, I could turn it off andf turn it back on again and it would be ok for awile, but the last time it did it it never came back on.

I have looked for an A/C fuse or a braker but cant seem to find one anyone got any clues?
looked under hood and drivers side kick panel but no dice

Sounds like theres some sorta fault in the system, like no refrigrant or and something similar. The AC light blinks when there is a problem with the system, just like the CEL.

Btw, whats with you sig man??

Agreed, there are many variables when it comes to A/C not working. Having too much or not enough freeon would cause the clutch to enguage, not enguage. Aslo if your system was open for any time you could need a new dryer and may have contaminants in the system. It could also be electrical. If you really need to get it working properly I would track down a good reliable Mechanic that wont break the bank and have the whole syetem checked out. Good luck.

well I filled it with r12 freon... dident notice any leaks, but the system wont turn on, I think the fuse is tripped or whatever it does when its bad, and the light doesnt do anything right now no matter what I do. and no it hasent been open the entire time I left eveything hooked up the ways its supposed to be with one of the leaky compressrs, though I would like to know where the filter thing is supposed to be, got my dad to work on it but he dident seem to know where its at and he said that should be replaced aswell

And as far as the sig goes I have a lot of fun doing drifts with the car on back roads, and there is this parking lot thats real good when it rains.
