Take a pic so we can see! Meanwhile, check that they all work, reverse lights, turn signals, brake lights (including your third brake light). Also, flick on your headlights and see if your rear lights up. It should be four red areas on your rear lights.

Ive got a 4th gen and my right tail light (the one thats on the trunk lid) is a little tweaky, every once in a while when i turn the lights on it wont come on, but if i hit the lid or open and shut the trunk it will come back on. the same thing happened to the lights behind the a/c knobs. Is this a common problem for 4th gens? and if so, is there a remedy?

And take the bull balls off and that damn gucci fabric and outside speakers too...keep the 10 switch deal and wire rims.....get back to what was good

could be the tail light failure sensor its a little yellow or white box that lights the burnt tail light indicator on the dash those boxes are prone to failure

CerialPhreak - sounds like the filament in the bulb is loose. Just replace the bulb.
