have you checked to see if you'r torque converter locks in 4th gear? does your rpm go wild when you'r over 45-50 like does it jump a lot when you gas it ? like when it does in 1st gear.

You don't have a tach yet your tach is bouncing up and down?
What's this jerking that you feel? Is it the pull of the car as its accelerating hard or is it the transmission missing shifts and redlining.. when does it jerk? do you lose speed? what is normal to you?

Sounds like you got yourself a transmission problem, I would have a mechanic look at the car.

2nd Generation

i meant my speedometer is bouncing up and down while accelerating...and for the car jerking...when im accelerating normal with the pedal down slightly then if i press the pedal about 90 percent the way down...i feel the quick jerk like it shifted or something...
