First off noticed my steering wheel shaking when braking around 65-70 MPH. This was after i had my pads replaced. The mechanic thought it was my front rotors so he went ahead and resurfaced them.
After resurfacing the rotors and rotating my tires(front to back & vice versa), no more shaking in the steering wheel while braking.
but another problem occured... when coming to a complete stop (5MPH and below) i hear a *thump thump thump* on the brake. Could this be from the resurfacing? He thought it was the generic pads then asked that i purchase genuine toyota pads.
Getting new pads Fixed the problem for a while, but now i still hear this noise periodically. Could it be that my rotors are warped? This only occurs while braking @ 5mph and less.

Sorry to intrude on your thread but also have a brake problem.
Sorry to hog your thread but also have a brake problem, well 2. So rather then make a seperate thread I figured i'd just post it here. Sorry
My brakes "pulsate?"...Like if i'm going like 60-70mph and have to start slowing down to exit the parkway or whatever my brakes start to like thud or pulsate. Is that the drums or the discs up front?
Also lately when i'm driving, coming from what sounds like my right side is like a metal ticking noise, but as soon as I apply pressure on the brake pedal it stops.
Any clues?

^Most likely the front rotors, but an easy way to tell if it is the rear drums is to apply the handbrake while going 60-70 and see if you feel a pulsation in the handbrake. Make sure to keep your finger on the button so you don't lock up the rear brakes.
What kind of rims did you get? Do you have Hub-Centric rings if the hub bore on the rim doesn't match up to the bore of the hub?
If you do have hubcentric rings, then the wheels should be rebalanced. Most of the time a tire shop will do a "static" balance. Most of the time this is not good enough.
The shop should be doing a Dynamic Balance where you use weights directly behind the spokes, and weights on the inner edge of the wheel.
If after getting hubcentric rings and Dynamic Balancing it still shakes when cruising at freeway speeds the next step would be to have the tire road force mounted, then dynamic balanced.
check all suspension bushings while its out, this is a casue of pulsating (for the person with pulsating brakes) the brakes will grip the suspension, but the chassis wont grip the suspension if its got worn busings, etc if ya get what i mean lol

(this only works with rear drums)
tried this just before. there was no pulsation in the handbrake, but again the handbrake was pulled up like 3/4 and didn't even slow me down.
