'99 Camry, I4. P1130 code sprung up: "A/F Sensor.... ". Any suggestions?

The P1130 was the only code pulled by Autozone, and it reads "Air-Fuel Sensor Circuit Range/Performance"

I've read the limited info on this online and from what I've read it may be an Air flow sensor, O2 sensor or a leak (somewhere).

I don't know much about cars but will figure it out just not to get stripped by the dealerships.

I recently drove through a huge puddle, is there any way that the water could've gotten on the A/F sensor and cracked it due to the difference in temperature? I dunno, just pulling things out of my here...

So, anyone have suggestions what may have caused this or how should I proceed? BTW, the car has 22,000 miles on it...

Thanks a lot!

well pull your efi fuse and then see if it throws the code again.

P0130 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

fancy word for your front o2 sensor. this is the one you see on your exhaust manfold.

i say reset the computer to clear the code (pull the efi fuse) then if it throws the code again replace the sensor.

Thanks for the reply, although I guess you didn't read the post

It's P1130, not P0130... so, what's that the fancy word for?

I pulled the code, so that reset the computer. We'll see if it comes on again. But, then, what do I replace? The A/F sensor? That would suck, it's like $220 at AutoZone

yup they are really expensive. there no real diffreance in p1130 from p0130 the 1 in front means it's a manufactor code, but most all manufactor codes are the same just might differ for a few sensors names.

yup you will be looking to replace the a/f sensor and lookaround online and try to get a OME sensor if you can. the wireing harnest on the cheap autozone sensors are annoying to wire up.
