Gen5 Remote Start

Hey everybody, did anyone install a remote start system on their gen 5 camry (2003 LE). I am thinking about getting the Viper 791XV two-way security/remote start, but I am not sure if the system will interfere with or disable factory functions like turning the headlight off with the remote control by pressing the lock button twice, or 20minute headlight auto-off or auto door lock once you shift out of P, door unlock upon turning off the engine, and things like that. Any inputs or suggestions would be great! THANKS!

Thats my next mod after the springs and muffler. I am getting the viper system too. I do not have an alarm on my car, but it does have some of the things you mention such as turnin off lights. I do not think it will interfere just install it correctly. That will be a problem with me because i am not a great electrical person.

On some cars you need to bypass the factory alarm system.

Viper alarms have a auto door lock and unlock feature.

Auto door lock on Vipers only work if all doors are closed. Then key is placed in ignition and turned.

I'm not sure about the headlight off feature.

I have the viper 791 on my Gen 3 and the headlights will turn on when you use the auto start but if you turn off your lights the night before, they will stay off. Your doors also stay locked until you unlock them with the remote. It's a pretty cool alarm and worth it in my opinion.
