Can someone with the Camry Eibachs and someone with the Solara Eibachs on a gen4/4.5 Camry please measure from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well for me and give me a measurement. I'd appreciate seeing both the Cam and Solara Eibachs to see if there is a real difference.
2001 Toyota Camry MCV20/SXV2, 4 & 6 Cyl
Part number: 8249.140
1.2 front
1.2 rear
2001 Toyota Solara MCV20, 4 & 6 Cyl
Part number: 8258.140
1.6 front
1.6 rear
They're different part numbers but I'd like to know if it really is a difference or not. I want the front of my car a little lower.... and I'm not sure if my Teins are really dropping my car the "1.46" that it supposedly says. So if the Eibachs that drop the car 1.6" drop the car a decent difference.. I'm willing to maybe buy a set just for the fronts.... call my crazy
Pretty much I just need the measurement with a gen4/4.5 with Solara eibachs then after looking this over. Or to be honest.. any spring combo will work as long as it isn't Teins (already equipped) and no coilovers of course.
I'd like to know also, and would it make a difference if you had bigger rims? I was thinking about the Tein rims I was going to purchase them sometime this weekend.
no, but the exact tiring sizing will make a difference tho.
A very good point, you'll want to post the diameter of your tire/wheel combination, as well. Differences in wheel/tire combo could have a greater impact than the differences betweeen the 2 sets of springs...

P.S. I'll try to post up once I have access to a tape measure (traveling this week)...
245/40/18 (48+- PSI) with T.S tech and tokico blues...26.5".
Bigbody, I know it isn't the solara eb's but you did wonder if my struts made a diff.
I bet if I had 225s I'd be lower than you ...weird.

That's weird.. I'd figure stock struts would make it lower. You're also running more air pressure than me (35psi here). With your tire size you're .6" larger than me.. and only .25" higher up than me... so there is a difference of .35" between our ride height taking away the tire size. Something for me to ponder on... I've heard that two cars same make, model, and year with the same springs/struts can be different ride heights...
26 and 1/4 (well its middle of 26 and 26 and 1/4 more closer to 1/4 but not at 1/4 if your catching my drift).
2001 solara
OEM 16's wheels and 205/60/15
TRD springs w/ stock struts
70K miles (with 19K miles of trd springs with stock struts)
26 and 1/4
2001 solara
OEM 16's wheels and 205/60/15 TRD springs w/ stock struts
Thanks. I see that there's pretty much no difference in our ride heights then (TRD/Eibach vs Tein S.Tech) in the front so I'll just keep my Teins for now.

But that was for a Solara since you're measuring to the fender. The Solara's fender is a different shape. You'd have to compare the stock fender height to be sure.

Yeah I just realized that right before I came back to check on the post
