Question How much should I bid on this kit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

It's a fully rebuilt ct-26 turbo. To all the turbo experts, how much I should pay for this kit???
Also, is this kit has all the stuffs to put on the car yet??? I know I still need intercooler, rebuilt engine... I meant the parts for the turbo setup???

I dont yet know the 5S-FE pr 5S-FTE very well, so i'm not too sure what it's missing in his *kit*.

Although this is what he has NOT mentioned

Fuel Pump (i'm not sure how good the toyota stocker's are)
FPS (once again, this might not be a toyota issue)
BOV (duh)
Injector Resistor Pack (once again, might not be a toyota thing)
Wastegate Solenoid
Manual Boost Controller
FPR, if you go with the aftermarket fuel pump
I would suggest a new knock sensor (very imporant on a FI setup)
Oil Filter cooler - recommended
Coolant cross-pipe (i'm not sure if that's part of the water lines in the kit)
IC and piping (which you mentioned earlier)

Now, before you go out and fill your shopping list, realise that I'm not yet familiar with this conversion, and that this is a general reply (mainly based on the DSM NA -> FI i've done)

Hopefully a few of the 5S-FTE guys will see this thread and give you more insight on the subject.

As for price??? Well, what's in the kit is a good start, but is far from a complete bolt-on kit.

if you click the link in my sig. you can see my turbo setup with basically all the parts i used..

that guy is giving you stuff to barely scratch the surface on turboing a camry

- downpipe won't fit - this will be a tough thing to make for the camry, mine took like 4-5 hours from a professional
- you will need custom piping and oil lines and water lines... he might "include" the lines themselves, but tapping the correct places is another story
- i would be weary of a "tuned" 5s ecu... i dunno if he has just chipped the 5s ecu to boost correctly, which i don't think he did... you will need some other fuel and timing management most likely
- also with the camry... you do not need a resistor box as long as you run high impedence injectors... there are some toyota sizes which are fine to swap to, also RC makes good injectors from people i have spoken with

Thanks everyone for the comments, it makes me think twice about what I want to do now. I think I will just go gather the parts on ebay or sale forum then.
Also, I found these turbo manifold and downpipe, will they fit well?

P.S Where do you guy order the aftermarket piston, rod???? I want to start buying the parts for rebuild engine, any link or recommendation what I should do? I willl buy parts and bring it to the shop to do it for me. I still have time till november or a little later to drop my car in the shop and have it fully built before next spring.

Thanks for clearing that up, Nate

I wasn't sure if the Camry would require a resistor pack or not. So I just through I would throw it in my reply anyway.

^^^ no problem keep... if you use dsm injectors on a camry though - you will need a resistor pack... i think it is the same as honduhs hehe, aren't the dsm's low impedence?

steven - on that ss autochrome pack i give them a i have read loads of reviews on their manifolds cracking, they might look like bling, but that is what they will do - look cool until you have an exhaust leak lol... also to the best of my knowledge, i have NEVER seen a generic downpipe that will work with turbo charging the camry with 3s components... the 3s downpipe would go straight through the motor mount, which is not a good thing ... you need a pretty severe bend right away to clear that, a shop or yourself must fabricate

When doing a turbo setup on a NA 2g DSM (mainly on the Chrysler 420A Motor) you ditch the stockers and get 450cc or larger injectors (low impedance) and just install the resistor pack.

However, time and time again people will ask this on the DSM boards and we will all say "just sell your car and pick up the GST or GSX"

There's no point in modding a 420A when your 4G63 can do 400-500hp on stock internals.

Then again, I am really trying to learn more about Toyota's and the 5S-FE... So far a few weeks on the forums and I'm on a good path
