Air Intake

So, I put the Silverstars in, and am getting my K&N filters in later this week.

I finally convinced my dad to let me put in an air intake. I had to tell him that it will increase my MPG

So, what brand should i put in to get the most out of it? BTW, I got a gen4 I4

thanks yall!

How much are you willing to spend? Even a CAI won't do much for you other than make it look cool and sound better...but those are expensive. Like $150+ depending on what you get. Your best bet is probably an eBay brand SRI...I put one on mine, it looks pretty cool and I feel that it's increased throttle response, too. But a lot of people on here say they don't do anything at all.

Hey,

I have a Short Ram Intake, months old, for sale for $35.00 shipped to you. If you have a Gen 3, then it is a straight forward install, all brackets have been done. I have pictures. Send me your email and I can send you pics when it was still installed.

So does SRI help? If not than there's only one question left: What does?

Short ram intake wont give you power gains, but it will sound very nice, and throttle response will be better. I recomend buying a cheap SRI or used, not worth spending $100+

wow since when did short ram intakes improve throttle response? in general you LOOSE resoponse due to heaksoak (on a camry), but gain a tiny bit more top end due to a freer flowing air path.

i never saw there to be much difference in brand because the appilcation is the same. i have a weaponR dragon intake and it's good, i like it. it's hella expensive but i got a sweet deal on in from a fellow camry driver here on TN. Only problem with eBay intakes is that they might not always be "perfect fit".
