3rd Generation Replacing Door Speakers...

Does anyone know of a tutorial or anything where i can see how to replace the front door speakers on a 1994 camry? do i need to take the whole door paneling off or can i just somehow snap the grill covering the stock speaker off without taking apart the door? TIA...

k i did this recently. you do have to take off the panel. if memory serves me right there are screws at these locations: 2 on bottom of panel, 2 on handle-side of the door, 2 behind the round caps on the mirror side of the door, 2 on the big handle (ones covered by a cap, ones not) and the hard part...you need to take off the border of the door handle inside. that rectangle around the handle and lock. what i do is pry it out with a tiny flathead. there re two hooks holding it in (one going towards the side mirror, other pointing straight down). you need to unhook the bottom one first. its located right at the edge of the lock mechanism and the flat piece of casing. once you pop it out, pull it away from the side mirror and it comes out. it is a B-ATCH and it takes me like 10 minutes everytime lol. after that, there is your stock speaker and you do yo thang.

enjoy! ill try to take pics when i get home
