Question windows master switch

hey guys....i recently learned something when dirivng my gen5 that did not make much sense...

the driver has the ability to open and close all the windows of the car through the master switch control. the driver also has the ability to take control of the passenger windows away from the passengers by pressing the little button....

why may i ask...would the driver want to take control away from the passengers from opening and closing the windows but not have control over those ones themselves?

when the button is pressed..no one...NOT even the driver can open the passenger windows...only the driver window will respond.

does this make sense? is it suppose to be this way? is there an easy fix around it?

i always thought that when the driver takes control away from the passengers, the driver still has control...

Nah, its supposed to be this way... its just a safety thing designed for toddlers to not play with the windows and stuff.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Almost every car with power windows has that feature. It is just for safety. Like someone else said to keep the windows from being rolled up nad down when they dont need to be or you dont want them to be.

I think more of the issue is with the driver his or herself not having control over the passenger windows... I've got a '97 and it does the same thing. Is it possible to still have the button to cut power to the pass windows but still allow the driver control?
