3rd Generation How can you tell if your haed gasket is bad?

Well I posted this and have tested all the solutions to solve my problem. Nothing worked.

My camry is going on 184.000 miles and has been giving me a difficult time. It is a 1994 5sfe 4 cyl engine. I am a pretty experienced mechanic but I cant figure this one out. I am hoping someone elses experience will help solve the problem. Any simple or complicated solutions would be greatly appreciated!

This all started when i was driving back from Wisconsin to Georgia. I had about 200 miles left in the trip and the car wouldn't accelerate smoothly at all. I was lucky to make it on the interstate from the on ramp. I ended up making it home but I cant seem to find this problem. There are no check lights or codes so this one is hard to find.

The problem seems that when the car is cool it will run great for 10 min. and then the surging and bogging starts. The car will stay running but will loose most power and acceleration. It boggs, bucks, surges and just plain looses power.

Things my research suggested were a possible cause are the spark plugs, dist. cap, wires, and coil. I eliminated these from the problem because:
-the coil had a crack in it and I replaced it. still had the problem
-the wires resistance is good and they are new(last 3000 miles)
-the plugs were done in the last 3000 miles and looked regular when I removed them after the problem
-cap and rotor button are fine and had been replaced in the last 10,000 miles
-the wires arent crossed they are perfectly separated
-I had ruled out a vaccume leak because it would mess up the idle and like I said the car will run great for about 10 min.
-I ruled out a bad fuel pump because I dont think the car would run great for 10 min. and then have the pump start acting up. I know it "COULD"
-Same for the fuel filter (also has been replaced in the last year.
-The air filter is a cone filter short ram intake and it isnt clogged up.
-The coolant temperature sensor isnt the problem because I replaced it already.
-the EGR Valve had just been cleaned out and was ruled out by disconnecting its vaccume line and plugging it off. I still had the problem intermitantly.
I have even eliminated to Evap sytem by diconnecting the perge port to the intake.

The biggest clue I thought was the fact that it only happens if the car has been running about 10 min. Please help me with whatever you can! If you think I did somehing wrong suggest it! If I am overlooking the obvious tell me! Please Help ME!

My last thought is that with running the car on my long trip gave it enough to make the head gasket go bad or head warp slightly. I once had a lawn mower with a head gasket that was bad and it only ran untill it warmed up and then it stopped working(like my car). Any ideas on this one would help. I only want to start this project if I am totally sue its th problem.

oil in water and water in oil can be a sign. also white smoke from the exhaust and your water running out ....... check for compression that would be the big thing if you got the BHG......
