Problem?

For some reason my 94 Cam will not start in the heat. When ever it is really hot out my car won’t start, and when ever it is cool out or in the shade it starts. Does anybody know what it could be; I am only guessing that it is the starter?

ok it doesnt start but what does it do? Does it click, does it crank and not start, need some more specifics. Could be several different things. BAd starter, hydrolocking, etc, etc, etc.

Sorry abou that. It does not crank, it does not make any noise, it just does not start. Also, sometime the brake pedal seems hard to press down if you know what I mean. The brake pedal does not go down easy. We all ready know it is not the battery since we checked that.

I would have to say first thing is to check all of your battery connections. After that it sounds like it may be the starter. Usually though you will have some kind of clicking noise when you try to start it. When it will not start try tapping on the starter with a small hammer or something like that and see what happens. If it works after tapping on it then you are probably looking a t new starter or at leset new brushes for it.

I was listening to this car show w/ these 2 car experts, and ppl call in with their car problems. Someone called in with a Toyota Camry that does not start in the heat (just like mine), and they said it was the starter. So, I know what the problems is and thanks everybody for your help.
