so now that i will be able to drive soon, im not sure if im going to get my moms camry or not. so i was wondering, should i drop like..100 bucks on the car, not real performance stuff, but little things so she thinks 'oh look, he is already modding the car...' and so on?
that's a good start... but ur "not real performance stuff" ... just make sure it's not ricey.

In golf as in life it is the follow through that makes the difference.
^ you know, my dad said something like that... he told me to unplug the battery. then when she tries to start it, it wont, and then ill go and put it back he told me to make it look like i would know how to fix it and stuff.
$100 ain't enough to do anything serious. Since you're not sure if you're gonna get the keys to the car, my suggestion is to save a bit more $$ and maybe get a deck. You can easily transplant this to your next car if need be. $0.02
Springs will ruin the soft ride that your mom probably likes, plus you should really get new struts as well. And who's gonna install the springs/struts?
I'm with Phi and Bull, $100 will get you no where. Save it for gas money or just use it on a deck if you're into music. Other keep it stock..nothing wrong with driving a stock car.
