No, what he wants is exactly what he said...although I don't know why. He's got two cams so it's hard to tell, but probably he wants it for the 98 with DRLs, and wants to use dimmed high beams. But I thought that's what they already are, as eecc said. By the way...don't dimmed lights go out faster than normal?
Which really makes me angry! Not only do we get a crappy dispersion pattern, we get dim 9003 bulbs! Arrrghgh I'm buying a gen 4.5. (Wait don't those also use 9003s? If so at least the headlights are more clear.)
I am looking for the DRL's to operate on my 98 (Gen 4) with High beam filament instead of the Low Beam filaments...
I have burnt out 3 bulbs now (H4's in Uncle's 2001 Sienna, and my 98 camry) and all of them are useless due to burnt low beam filaments, but next to new high beam function .
I just find it wasteful.

Actually, the Gen 5 DRLs that can be turned off are better than no DRLs. The reason I say this is because say you just have your driving lights on and you don't realize that your headlights are off (because your guages are lit). In that situation, the DRLs are one and you probably won't get pulled over for not having your headlights on.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
I guess in that situation.. but I don't ever drive with my parking lights on by themselves... I use them for when I'm parked on the side of the road looking at cars, taking pictures etc... to let people know my car is there.
