ECM is being quite troublesome

1993 Camry V6 3vz-fe; 1,323 miles :

So i had a knock sensor problem, codes 5-5 and 5-2. As ive read in previous posts i decided to 'trick' the ecm into thinking both were good, even though both were BRAND NEW . So i checked them with Ohm-meter, one read 0/inf. (which is the good one from wut i gathered) and the other around 2.5-3 ohms (the bad one)

^^(if that isnt correct about the resistance let me know)

So i cut both wires at ecm butt-connector, and spliced the good one. using a y-clamp u can get from any radioshack i connect the good wire from the sensor to one end of the y. and the other two ends i used for both wires to the ECM leaving the bad sensor wire hanging. I reset the ecu numerous times...yet STILL get both codes .

given im going to 2x check i connected the right sensor.....would ther be any other reason y this wouldnt work?!?

One other question, how often should the feul filter be changed, cant say ive ever changed it, my guess is its time for a new one
