I just finished installing a Greddy eManage on my 5S-FE. After doing this, if you are planning any sort of serious install that involves the ECU wiring harness, get yourself a patch harness from Autosport Wiring: http://www.autosportwiring.com/products.htm#Toyota
They run $139, but are an incredible help in making a harness for your install with no bad connections. I was able to solder every connection, shrink wrap or use liquid electrical tape on all connections.
I know I never have to worry about these connections.
holy sh_t thats a lot of money...you could make one yaself for a lot less.. but then if i say this well hav eppl going
"anyone got a DIY on a ecu haraness thingy?"

Ya know, I thought about that. But I realized very quickly that my time is worth more than that. Meaning, yes I could have made the same cable. But I would have had to go hunting for the right connectors (the female connectors -the one found inside the ECU- are very difficult to locate), I would have had to crimp, solder and shrink wrap like Autosport did. Then he also used some sort of flexible material to hold the wires so they can't flex and break. It's really a high quality job.
Again, it wouldn't have been worth my time to make one myself.
Damn, you are on the ball installing that eManage so quickly. Can't wait to see the results.
The results will be a little while. I have to get to know the support tool a bit...then start tweaking a little here and there...then add the Autotune box from Bruce Buchner. Then I will hit the dyno for final tuning and numbers.
The box from Buchner will maintain a 12.5 AFR while under boost. It interrupts the O2 sensor signal so the stock ECU doesn't keep trying to adapt to the changes being made by the eManage. It's a neat little device.
...anyone want to buy an S-AFC??? Hardly used...still have it with all original materials, even the box.
^^Nice... I am so envious right now. At least my moms is getting to have fun driving my cam while I am gone. I'm sure someone will pick up that S-AFC real quick.

When you come back to the states, where will you be at? If you're near the northeast, maybe we could meet up. But I am guessing not...it seems like there are so few ppl up around here.
Nah, I won't be back for 3 years at the least. If and when I come back for a visit, I am from El Paso, Tx. My chances of getting up toward NH in that small vacation time are slim to none. I have a car dealer here looking for my Supra. Once I purchase that, it will be a lot easier to get to and from the junkyards. Can't wait to see what goodies I will find. I will definately keep you in the loop as you were one of the primary inspirations in my turbo Cam. Keep up the good work.
