Hey guys, i took my dads accord today to do an oil change to it. My dad took my camry. He came back home at 5:00. When i walked in the house he says i have bad news. I was like, i hope he didnt get in a wreck. He said someone got in my car and took my CD player. I went out to my car..... The door handle is off a little, door is dented and scratched, brand new pioneer HU gone, Alpine Amp gone, 2 rockford F. amps gone, 2 JL audio subs gone, wire routers and fuses gone, tool set gone, plus i had a box full of stuff like Xenon lights, wires, brake stuff, car cleaning stuff etc.. gone... about 1000.00 worth of stuff. Im glad they didn't find the wheel lock key, which was in the car, they woulda got the rims. :cry: My dad is like " you go to the sound store right now and buy a whole new system", he's forcing me lol... Im going tomorrow.... Anyways, just thought id tell yall... I think it's time to invest in an alarm

ALARM FIRST!

Before I got into the car audio thing - I got my alarm. People laughed when I used the alarm on my car with a stock HU and Discman. Well, a few systems later, someone tried to break into my car (which had a total of 6 amps, $700 head unit, 2 subs, tons of cds)... and it scared them off and woke me up.

It's DEFINITELY worth it. First thing I did when I bought my new camry was get an alarm. I've had too many friends get jacked. Please learn from this and get the alarm BEFORE your new system?

Well i was about to buy an alarm, i just finished my sound ssytem. I had the subs for a while, i just installed two amps to my highs. So i was about to go get an aralm. An alarm on my car would suck, its a DX, i have no power windows or door locks.. Its just gonna make the noise....

Oh yea and I dont know if id rather get a whole new system or pay off my tiution.... id rather graduate... lol

I have a friend selling a kenwood CD player, 2 12" JL audio subs, 6 JL/boston aquostics speakers, kenwood amp, alpine amp for $400.00 what do you guys think?

its pretty much new, but the CD players is old.

bad news man. does your car look stock or done up though? no one would think a stock looking camry would contain a cool sound system, but a stock camry doesn't look that great! (i got a gen 2). get an alarm, and don't play your music around where you park the car.

sorry to hear about that dude. but your getting a great deal! what i learn is too hide my tools. when i was a lil dumb kid and take ppl systems we usually use there tools so we won't damage the goods.
