What size tires do you recommend in a 15 inch wheel
I need to buy a new set of tires. I am currently running the stock 205/65/15's. I am planning on dropping the car at the most 1.8" and don't want the tires to rub on the fender lip.
I am thinking of running
215/55/15
205/60/15
or the stock 205/65/15
What do you recommend?

well....no real recommendations about the tires....
but don't worry even if you keep the stock size of 205/65/15 ....the tires shouldn't rub....
I think somebody mentioned before that you should be fine unless you get something more in the ranges of -2.5", then you'll have to change your fenders....

I have a question too. I have 15's and I plan on dropping my Camry with the Intrax springs. What size tires should I use?
Also, Eibach or Intrax?
I would recommend getting bigger tires... 17 or atleast 16's.
As far as the drop goes, make sure you get struts as well. It also depends on how much lower you want it. Eibach drops it 1.2" and itrax drops it I believe 1.75", but eibach is better quality.... so... I hope this helps

Stick with the stock size for sure. 215/55/15 and 205/60/15 are too small...those are the sizes you should be using for 16" rims. Do they even make tires in those sizes because they are pretty awkward sizes....
Oops my mistake
The other size i am considering is
215/60/15
The price is about the same as 205/65/15
I think that they would be close to the same height, but just wider. What do you guys think?
Discount tire direct has 215's for $65 (Yokohama avid H4). I have used these tires before on my old 2000 civic si and they were very good..

but to answer your question in a way, the past three sets of tires on my cam have been 215/60-15. I cant really compare and contrast the rides, I have only been driving the car with the last set, my dad before me. But it works just fine in way of technically. I am currently about to purchase some tires to but wondering if i should swithc back to my old tires. More importantly tho, I was thinking about the BFgoodrich comp T/A's....anybody have any comments on these. its really the comp T/As v. the Touring T/A's, thanks for any advice.
the difference between 205 and 225 is only 20mm.
I was able to fit 225/70/14 rubber on a 14x6 wheel.
I'm sure it will fit on the camry wheel. Camry stock wheels are 15X6.5 which is wide enough to fit a 225/60/15 size rubber. The 225/60/15 is close to the overall height of the 205/65/15 stock rubber .
205/65/15 25.49" = (205/10)x(65/100x0.3937x2)+15
225/60/15 25.63" = (225/10)x(60/100x0.3937x2)+15
