I had to change my disk brakes in the back about a month ago..... well i've noticed that my car nose dives alot now.
My question is, how good r the autozone pads and the toyota pads?
Right now i have some of those autozone pads and they squeak and burn imprints of the pads onto the brake rotor...... btw i didn't buy the brakes for my car my dad did (hes VERY cheap), if it was me buying the pads i would have got some performance ones

What do you mean imprints?, are they deep in the rotor? do they look like tracks? For the squeeking i would wash the rotor and caliper with your garden hose. My noise went away after a while. IM not sure what you mean by your nose dives a lot, but maybe you also need rear break pads...

there's such thing as anti-squeal compound??
where do you get it, and what exactly is it?
Should be able to get it at any autoparts store. It usually comes as a blue compound, which you apply on the back of the pad. Brake squeal is caused by your brake pads vibrating at a certain resonant frequency. Most brake pads come with anti-squeal backing plates, but they hardly perform on their own. The anti squeal compound acts as a "lubricant", to absorb the vibrations. This compound should only be used if the brake pad is still at 50%, or the pad is new. This compound should never be used to extend the life of brake pads, because they won't (i trust you won't do this, but i know there are people out there who probably will, so i'm just covering my ass. LOL!).
oh and about ur pads the only pads that autozone offers for the rear disc brakes of a camry are the albany brake pads which should be the ones u have.... if so......... it comes with a life time warranty (as long as u own ur car) so u can pic up a new pair for free when u bring ur old ones in ...... then u can start all over.......... this time just make sure u put the brake anti-squel lub on

its cost 0.99 cents at autozone and its also recomended that u put the lubricant on the caliper bolts as well as the back of the pads

I personally use Synthetic Grease (also available from your local autoparts store) for the caliper bolts (aka. Slider Pins). This allows the floating caliper to...well....float! LOL!
In any case, if the brake pad anti-squeal compound works for that then it's fine. I'm just really picky.
Another suggestion is: While you've got the entire setup apart, spray all the brake parts (caliper, disc and pads) with brake cleaner before applying the anti -squeal compound. Collect the stuff in a pan and dump the stuff appropriately. This gets rid of all the caked on brake dust and what not.
cool....thanks alot, both of you.....I'll probably take my brakes apart and check the pads and add all the other stuff when I have time....it's only a little squeal....for now....=P
but I also have a question....what full brake kits will fit a 94 camry (are they all 4 discs?) or should I just go out and get some compatible calipers and slotted/drilled rotors separately?
and can I get larger discs and calipers without making any changes to the housing? or do I have to get the same size for direct bolt-ons?
I really haven't really experimented with playing around with brakes yet, so I don't really know.....and even if I did get new brakes, I'b probably get a shop to put them on....so....
yeah, thanks in advance!

Imprints like the brake pads r so hot that it lives a kinda black marking of the pads on the rotor. I cleaned it once after i put the pads in cause it squeaked and it worked for awhile but then it started to squeak again. My car nose dives, which means the nose of the car goes down and the rear-end goes up...... FYI thes r the back brake pads taht i'm talking about
