A Battery is a Battery, long as the poles are in the correct place, and the ratings are suffient with stock, everything should be fine

I'm going to throw an Optima YellowTop D34/78 in my Cam when I can find a good deal on it.

I had one in my K5 Blazer, and loved it.

It could turn over that V8 in -40șC, even if the fuel bowls in the Carburetor were empty, and it had to turn over for 20 seconds, no problem. That thing could crank that motor for minutes on end if I wanted it to.

Not to mention, there were times where I left my lights/stereo on all day/night and It still started with juice to boot!

If it could run laps around that V8 all day long, it should start my 2.2L 5S-FE no matter what I throw at it.

You've gone through 2 already, Neil??

And by winter storage, did you mean:

-leave the battery in the car, connected
-leave the battery in the car, disconnected
-leave the battery on the garage floor (coldsoak)
-leave the battery in the house
