3rd Generation does anybody make a cold air intake for the 3vzfe

I was browsing around the internet and could not find a cold air intake for the 3vzfe. I would custom make one but I lack the proper tools and skills to fabricate one . I'm hoping there's one out there that I just didn't spend enough time looking for.
Thanks Will

Did you have to make it yourself or did you buy it somewhere?

If I were to make it myself what sort of tools would I need? If a welder is involved I don't have one. What are the best materials that are the most heat resistant. I apologize about all the noob questions but one of the things I fear most is failure. Plus what size tubing would you recommend. I think I mentioned the engine was a 3vzfe, but just in case I didn't, there ya go.

You need 3" piping to make the CAI. It's not too hard, just takes some time...but plan it out. Make sure you have all the tools. Check my website, I have a lot of pics of my CAI. No need to weld, just a drill and hack saw is enough.

Definitely do a search on this, there's no less than 100 threads on CAI's.

What kind of tubing would be best? You know, for heat resistance.

heat resistance shouldnt be your priority. make it as free flowing as possible, so minimise the use of flxible/washer type tubing.

last I knew, weapon-r doesn't make any CAI's, they only make SRI's.

^yah, I think (not sure) that they, or another company, make one for the 2.2L. That doesn't help my 3vz though. Anyway, I'm just going to make in a month or two like terrastrife said.

Google is your friend, my friend

Weapon R (805-141) CAI for 3VZFE: http://www.prolightstar.com/wr_drago...on_805141.html

The AEM one appears to be only for the 1MZFE engine.

I'm probably going to get a Weapon R one myself, I'd like to know if anyone has noticed any better mileage with a CAI setup? I'm not necessarily interested in more HP on my daily driver.

it takes custom work to make it...I used an akimoto SRI and then used their flexpipe intake kit to finish it off...I will redo it in the winter though
