4th Generation flip flopped Warning big pics

hate it or not, i did it always wanted to and decided to do it

only problem trunk dont stay that way by itself, it tilts more when the pole isnt there

old pic i recently wraped the pole in cf vinyl looks much better

hate on me if u must but it was a easy and cheap mod

any gen 4s that have done this any advice on how to keep it in its right position

I've heard bad things about it. It looks good and everything but if you run a lot of bass, you get a huge amount of rattle. It does look good though

Edit: Most of the pics I've seen of other people that have done this, and they all look like yours when they're open. The pics I've seen of them sitting flat like you want it are on ebay.

Looks Good Drew,

From what i can see of the joint in the photo, get a rubber stopper (like the things used on doors), and swer it into it. It looks like that may solve the problem with the tilting, and it would make it softer anf less prown to breakage.

yea total cost of the mod was um 2.36 for 2 hinges and few screws laying around lol

cheapest thing so far lol
damn a gallon of gas i pay more 2.47

that is a diy on how to do it.. its not hard... about a 3/10 (only thing easier could be clear corners....

looks good. o would suggest adding in a seconday bracket there to hold it in place
i wont do mine due to the chane of the trunk flying off in an accident.

hey drew do u know any good bodyshops in nyc some ass scrapped the driver side and i need to get a couple of dents fixed and a paint job i want to go to a toyota dealership but i know they gonna OD on the price
