lowering just the back

ok i love my car but, everytime i catch a side view of it i hate it!!!!!...the annoying rake(back higher than front) of all gen 3s..So i thought of just putting lowering springs in the back ...i did some measurements and 1.5 inch lowering springs would work best for it to be level....well what do u guys think...would this be hard on the overall suspension system...and if i get enough funds i might put tokicos in the back with the lowering springs...i dunno how do u guys feel

You can put the lowering springs just in the back, but if you put them at all four corners, you should even out.

You just have to make sure that when you measure out how much drop you want, you take into account how much the springs will/might settle, or else you'll end up with a car that's got a lower back end, and if you ask me, that's even uglier.....

and what soundlzrd said is true....if you just upgrade all your springs, the car should even out...with a possibility that the end will be lower....but then just remove your spare from the back, and the end should lift back up to be about even.....or at least if does with my ebaich's w/ stock struts...

and for real, if you want to consider performance, the front springs are more importanat than the back ones.....the front prevent you from diving into corners as much....

good luck... 8)

that's funny, i always thought that all gen3's were higher in the front, than in the back! Hmmm, maybe it's only the V6's?

Well, ideally, you should save up and get all four corners done...you'll be much much happier with a better handling car than just a better looking car!

Font higher then the back????
are you crazy?
Camry's are much lower in the front (mine is a V6)
even, if you have a even fender gap (front and back) the car still leans forward....
The only way to solve that is to cut a coil in the rear....
Thats what I plan on doing as soon as I get the rears on.. I've had only the fronts on for like 1 month now

Sorry, I had a couple questions too:
SilverStreak, did you install your rear springs yourself? (was there rust all over the rear bolts) Were they hard to remove...
secondly...
Does anyonw know where I can get a coil or two cut, in the GTA?
What tools are needed?
Thanks...

The rears were easy. Just get a deep pocket socket, that really helped.
