Question Several Questions In One Thread

Since making a bunch of threads would annoy a lot of you.

Anywho, I have a 2005 Camry that was bought in late 2004. What "Generation" of camry is it?

Were there any external differences between the previous camry and the 2005 other than headlights and taillights? I was wondering if a body kit made for the previous camry would fit on my camry.

What is the offset for the rims of the camry? I have some 18" 5x114 rims laying around from a previous car but haven't been able to find out what the offset is on my current car.

I have neons inside of my camry right now but they are manually controlled via switch and powered off of a hardwire from the cig lighter's power wires. Where can i find the power wires that are powered when the doors are open such as the dome light, and what color would those wires be? I want for a set of neons to turn on when the doors opened.

My compartment under the stereo won't stay closed anymore. I took it all apart and i think there is a missing piece that would normally act as a catch to close the lid upon push and release again on another push. If anyone has an 05 camry and is competent enough to remove their console, i would appreciate a picture of theirs to comapre to what i see in mine and maybe see what i'm missing. Removal is very simple since it's all held on by clips.

I have some other questions that i will remember sometime later. These will do for now. TIA.

The bottom grille in the front bumper is different

The rims i have are +40 offset. I don't think i'd want to put them on the camry though . they are chrome and my camry is silver, so that would be tacky. i'll just sell these rims to buy another set so i'd like to know what offset range would work on this camry.

So was that a yes or no to the body kit question? would I be able to use a kit made for the gen 5 (2002-2004?) camrys?

2004 with TRD kit

2004 with Vizage kit

2005 Camry

From this pic we can see that the front bumber on the Vizage kit will not work for the 2005
