AC smelling FUNNY

I have a 2003 Camry and when I turn on the AC, there is a strong smell of moisture (it almost smells like a public restroom). But after a few minutes, the smell goes away. I am pretty sure that nobody had tampered with the fluid systems in my car. Does anyone else have this problem and do you know what I can do about it? Thanks.

for the short term....try running on vented air..full blast and spray lysol into the outside vents

what do you ususally do when you operate your AC?

you could try on your trips when you are almost home or to your destination, to switch from circulating air to vented air so moisture has time to evaporate.

Are your drains plugged? if it's plugged and moisture from the AC has no where to go, you might get that smell too.

Try these before you go through the hassle of getting to your filter
