3rd Generation "performance" fuel filters

I wanted to replace my filter and wanted to know what filters are available for a Gen 3 2.2L Cam. I really wanted one of those clear fuel filters but I thought I'd come to the experts and their take on it. Are there any "performance" filters avaiable? Anything better than OEM at least?

no need, especially for a 5sfe....a standard 13 dollar filter will do just fine, if u blow through it u will realize how little resistance ther really is, just keep up with the maint. and ull be more than ok performance wise

*a clear one would be cool but no need, im not sure wer its located on ur 5sfe bay but with my 3vz-fe u can barely see the thing...

If it was out in the open what would be really is getting a clear one and puttin a couple tiny neon bulbs near it, and accent ur engine bay .....i might actually think about that one now, thatd be sweet since many of my hoses throughout the car are now clear

I agree...no major gains fuel filterwise...unless you upgrade fuel pump, lines, injectors, rail possibly.....but you'd be doing that more for a blown engine than a stocker

Well, i guess I'd really like it to be clear just because I think it's cool. In anycase, I guess I'll stick to OEM and just pick one up from Toyota. Thanks guys.

P.S. AG6286: With the intake tract gone (replaced with an SRI) the filter is plainly visible.
