Dyna Mat not for exhaust noise. I mentioned how Dyna Mat or any acoustical matting is not designed for eliminating exhaust noise. I explained how I matted the entire back half of my car with no noticable results. Well some of you convinced me that I didn't go far enough with my sound proofing.

So taking in all of this good advice I finished the job of matting my entire car!
Trunk Floor = 1 - Layer of Dyna Mat Extreme, 1 - Layer BQuiet Ultimate, 1 - Layer BQuiet Composite Foam Mat.
Trunk Sides and Lid = 1 - Layer Dyna Mat Extreme, 3 Coats of Sound Deadening spray on all in accessable areas.
Entire floor including under the seats and fire wall = 1 - Layer Dyna Mat Extreme, 1 - Layer BQuiet Ultimate, 1 - Layer BQuiet Composite Foam Mat.
Doors = 1 - Layer BQuiet Ultimate on outer skin, 1 - Layer BQuiet Extreme on inner panel.
Rear Deck, Pillars and Kick Panels = 1 - Layer Dyna Mat Exteme.
Here's some pic's
Well it was hard work and very expensive! But I tell you what!!! My OEM stereo flat out rocks! The sound quality is thru the roof, and the bass is like there's a 12" sub in the trunk running on a 500 watt amp. It's a real sense of acomplishment when I listen to my stereo now.
Oh, by the way. My exhaust is still loud and annoying as hell! So save your money unless you're looking to upgrade the sound of your stereo.
