source of clunking sound

hey everyone, after searching the forums for a while, i decided just to post. so while driving to work today i noticed a clunking sound that seems to be coming from the middle drivers side of the car. im not too sure if that is where the source is, but i havent had time to check yet as im at work. ive replaced the two front struts. im thinking it could be the muffler banging around, if one of the clamps broke, or could it be the engine mounts? any ideas anyone?

oh yeah, just wanted to add that turning or leaning of the car doesnt really affect the production of the noise..ie more or less. nor the the speed of the car affect it. it just seems to sound sometimes... also the drivability of the car is not affected.
