I've search on this, but didnt seem to find anything..well, a little but not what i was looking for..i was wondering if the 91-^ MR2 NA ecu fits 92 camry 5sFE..I wanted a higher rev on the RPM..RedLine starts at 6300 isnt enough for me..i want somewhere around 7 to 7500..I know this might sound rediculous..but i just wanna see if i will gain any performance on this..Let me know...Thanks..
comon really, remember u have a 5sfe.....its not a racing engine, it would never beable to handle that high RPM w/o some serious modifications to the internals,,,even if somehow u could get it to that through ecu. Besides just because u can get higher RPMs, wont make it go faster, with taht engine id probably get slower, ur power band would die in the mid to high 5g range anyway
I know its not a racing engine..Just wanted to be a tricked out engine..having a camry revving up at 7 to 7500 RPM sounds nice..and Lord_Anarchy other than performance, i just want to be different from other people who have there redline start out at 6300..But backto the topic..will the hardness fit perfectly or do i have to do some modification??
have you done any engine mods to justify raising the redline? Otherwise your "tricked out" engine will be much the worse for wear. Those redlines are there for a reason.

No engine mods to support a higher redline...
No power to be made past stock redline...
You want to be different so you want to rev. to past 7k?
And that makes the motor "tricked out"?
I'm actually laughing out loud right now.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
The only time I hit above the redline is at 135+ mph......but that is with a V6.....your 5sfe won't do that unless it has HEAVY mods (like forced, N20, SC...etc)
so it goes all the way to 9000rpm with no RED LINE youll still hit the CUT OUT at around 6800-7000RPM though

I was just trying to see if it fits..i didnt ask for any information if it'll rev that high..i've seen Honda's using acura's ecu..thats why i ask if the mr2 with fit in the camry..and mr2 does have a higher rev on the rpm..
Hondas using Acura ECUs? Well.. if they had a B series swap from the ITR or Integ, it's a given. You are saying that they do this, ECU transplanting, on stock D series motors and what not?
In the end, that's probably the end all for this thread. The stock 5SFE block will not make more power and raising redline would defintely wear it out, assuming it could mechanically, at stock, reliably go up to 7-7500K every time.
But, if this doesn't deter you, then.. can't simply killing the Rev limiter solve the redline issue?
The gsR ecu will fit in a 92-95 civic si d series motor..But you guys just dont get the question..im not asking if it will ruin the motor or not..Im asking IF IT WILL FIT OR NOT..If i blew the motor..Im using my money to get a new one..not yours..So If you want to make some comment or opinion..make a new thread..And yet after all of these REPLIES..No one hasnt answer the question..Just say yes or no or i need a universal harness..Thats all i need to know..
