Motor Swap ?

Ok well as some may no my 5SFE on my 95 Camry blew. I was going to buy another 5sfe motor from a junk yard for 500$ but there aren't many mods. So look at these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-8...90209583QQrdZ1

It says 2.0 liter so will it go into my car easy? What all will I have to do and how much would it cost? And is it was upgradeable as the 1mzfe motors and how powerfull? More power than my 5sfe right?

Both of the motors you listed are 1VZ-FE. Their not a direct drop in for your car.

You would need tons of other parts besides the motor. Complete engine wiring harness, ecu, ignition system, etc... etc....

There are mods available for a 5S-FE. You just need to look for them (run a search on this forum).

Haha,,cool..my motor..but 2.0L. That first link had some nice pics. The exhaust manifold is quite good compared to the 2vz original ones...But yer..evthn looks weird on them. Especially the intake plenum...Wouldnt go very well. 5SFE would be a far better option..just bolts in..and ur away!

Should I go for a 3s-gte. I Don't want to put another 5sfe in there. it just seemed to slow I want something with more power. I really want to hook this car up. I Won't be on a Budget long and I Have Untill next August untill I can drive because of the new Maryland law. I wold just like it on the road by Febuary 17th.

I am looking at the 3s-gte big now. But If I had to wait and it wouldn't cost much to get a v6 3.0l in there i'll do it. as long as it's not over 1500 includeing a motor which should be from 800-1000. I have to Mechanics in the family who said they would help me for free. I no I could pull anything off. So could I get an estamted cost of how much it would cost and what I would need to get a 3s-gte and the same for a 1mz-fe. I am searching on this now but I haven't found anything yet. Im on the 11th Google page.

If you have the money and patience, the 3s-gte will pay off.

But wouldn't it be cheaper just to put a 3s-gte after the modding I would have to do to the 5sfe. I mean since there isn't a motor in the car. Now If I already had a working 5sfe I would mod it but I don't I have options. I am also looking at the 3vz-FE. SO I think im down to two motors. 3s-gte or 3vz-fe. UNless In anyway I can be convinced to get a 5sfe and that I can make it as fast as either of those two, Cheaper in the beginning and in the long run come 2 years from now and just as fast. I Plan on putting a lot of money into this. Weather people say just go out and buy a v6 Camry or a differnt kind of car that will be faster. I Will put more money in this car just so people don't look at my car and say oh just another Celica or another Civic hooked up.
NO Offense to Celica or Civic drivers but thats how I feel.

Sorry For bad typeing it's hard to type with a broken finger.

Also will all years 3s-gte fit a camry?
