4th Generation which would you choose

I'm trying to figure out a cheap mod for my car and thought about changing out the dash ligths (recent threads have given me the idea). I'm just not sure on what colors to go with. I've thought about white and blue or the blue and red that some people have done. I'm just not sure. Also, are you still able to adjust the brightness of the lights and where is a good place to find new lights? Is there anyway to change the color of the clock?

3rd Generation

I tried putting Blue LED's all in my Cluster and HVAC controls on my Gen 3 but it was really uneven, dark, and it made anything that was colored red turn to pooo. I'm saving up to get the silver reverse glow gauges, the ones without the funky green center. Then I'm putting red incadescents in the Cluster to make the needles red at night. I will also be using incadescent Blue's in the HVAC, LEDs barely lit it up. I think I'll have to get some small bulb caps from Parts Express.

apparently, it looks like most people voted for white and blue. So where do I find the bulbs? What combo should I go with? I'm thinking keeping the mph white and rpm. The rest being the blue. How would a red needle look w/this?

I ATTEMPTED to buy them from www.procarparts.com BUT they didnt send me an invoice, I tried twice. They wouldnt return my emails, or anything. I think the problem stemmed from the fact that I live in Canada. They're shipping and invoice got all F**ked up. I was sick and tired of jumping through hoops with their site.

Nonetheless, I had another TN member (knailgun) purchase them for me. Then he's sending them up to Canada for me. They're in transit as we speak.

The kit that he purchased for me was the Silver Reverse Glow Kit for the Gen3 cam.

As for the 194 and 74 bulbs for the gauge cluster.

You can get LED versions of them.

www.superbrightleds.com is a good site for the bulbs.

I have 4 red 194's and haven't purchased any 74's yet

What would you have done with 2 of them, Neil?

Set up a gauge cluster on the passenger's side as well? So the passenger can have his own set of gauges too, make him/her feel like they're involved in the driving experience

I can't wait until they arrive
