Today my mechanic suggested me to buy a bottle of air intake throttle cleaner and clean out that dirty and deposits thats around the throttle area and I must say for 4 bucks it really makes the car stronger and it runs smoother, response is a big difference. Dont have that sluggish feeling anymore. I dont think you will find must difference in new car but mines is a 10 yr old car and it was in need of cleaning. But still worth the try if your car is running a little sluggish and idling low.
just look for a spray can wiht "throttle body cleaner"

I used "GUMOUT Air intake throttle cleaner" in a greyish color can, in the engine degreaser isle in Pepboys. Runs about 3.99 a can and has a little picture and direction on how to use it.
A good cleaning will help get back the handful of horses you may have lost over the years. Use a toothbrush with the spray and get in as far past the throttle plate as possible. Take a clean rag and soak up the black mess. Then run some seafoam through the brake booster, crankcase and gas tank.

99% of the "dirt" is from the PCV valve. Be sure to pull the PCV hose and spray the carb cleaner (xylene) in that hole where the PCV vents into the intake manifold.
just pull off that huge black hose and spray it out?.........btw could you spray the inside of the airbox? i wiped my finger across the box and it has black dust in it =/
