My 1994 Camry LE (4cyl) needs new front struts and springs. The local parts store quoted me $332 for each assembly which includes both the strut and the spring, which I think is a bit much. Can anyone recommend a reputable online dealer where I could get the struts for cheaper than that? I am not looking for any type of awesome performance parts, just stuff that would work for cross-country and city driving.
well it says it only fits 83-86, so i don't think you should get those haha, and at first when i looked at them, i thought they were hood struts, and then i really got confused lol.

Whoops, good point. I missed the model year part on those! Ha!
These ones are for my model year and are $240 for a set of four. So $240 for those and $260 for a set of springs is $500... definitely a lot better deal than the store was asking, plus I'd be able to replace all four of them (might as well).
I'm probably not going to do this til next week anyway, so if anyone else has suggestions, please let me know.

Well, we didn't end up going with any of those solutions. My father-in-law found struts at a local parts store for $60 each. He also got a complete set of four coil springs off of a Camry in a junkyard for $40. Seeing as I don't intend to keep this car for very long, I think this is the best solution.
We're heading up tonight to have him do the repairs... looking forward to stopping the bouncy creaky front end. :-)
