I have a 1998 Camry LE 2.2L U.S. that I purchased used. It looks like the pads on it are ceramic because they are not creating dust (is this a correct statement?) but I want to get the right ones for my rotors because they are being resurfaced and i don't want them getting warped because I chose the wrong pads. I was also wondering if I bought say metallic pads just to throw in there, will they warp the rotors if the rotors aren't designed for them?
List what version of the camry you have and what kind of brakes your using!
I have been running Raybestos full ceramic pads on my wife's 98 XLE 4 cylinder for about 15 months now with no problems. They do make less dust than semi-metalic pads and seem much quieter. Also, they give a firmer pedal feel than the semi-metalic. YMMV.
bendix ultimate
they last longer then my brake fluid (as in fluid boils b4 pads start fading)
i really gotta get a brake flush done...
