is it REALLY neccessary to take off the entire assembly, put it in the oven, and all that just to replace the bulbs? or do they come out thru the back like hondas?

reach behind the light, find the harness to the correct bulb, and twist the socket clockwise (or maybe counterclockwise) and it will come out with the bulb.

.....baking to get the lights out

You would bake your headlights if you were wanting to take the lenses off to clear them out or maybe retrofit some projectors in them

OFFICIAL Gen. 3 Clear Headlamp DIY Thread

^this is from the Camry FAQ at the top of the Camry Forum

Even in a retrofit you don't open the headlights to change the bulbs. You misunderstood something fierce.

You bake your headlights and pull them apart if you want to "black house" them...

so they are like hondas in the sense that: theres the clip that plugs into the light and theres a housing for the bulb that u put the bulb in and turn the dial to lock it into place? on my friends prelude, the right side had a tank in the way of one light area. is the 95 camry clear of such obstacles. i would check myself, but right now im at work not with my car. if no one replies, i can just check wen i get home

thanks
