do you have blue smoke coming out of your exhaust when you drive? Has your car been burning a lot of oil?

it means oil is getting into your cylinders, which isn't good. you may have some bad piston rings.

Try a compression test. check across all four cylinders and if your middle two are low, possibly a head gasket. If none are outside of 10% of 1226kPa (sorry, Alldata uses some metric), look inside your intake manifold (take off the throttle body). If there's lots of blackness inside, it's likely just crankcase blowby oil. Can't think of anything else offhand. In the future, keep an eye out for performance dropping steadily or oil consumption going way up. With your oil consumption, I'd say it's probably just blowby.

disagree, there is no such thing,
my one of spark plugs (5sFE) was wet with engine oil as well, took apart, valve cover, turn the tube by 1/4 to 1/2 of a turn, and no more leak

wait, you just said there isn't such a thing. What do you mean by turning the tube by 1/4 or 1/2? turn what?

Tighten down the large nuts (30MM or 32MM - can't remember which size) that are exposed on the valve cover when you remove the spark plug wires. The manual for the generation 3 at the top of this forum should have the spec. Do it in increments of 1/3, 2/3 and then 100% of the required torque, alternating plugs holes 1, then 4, then 2, and finally 3. This should solve your problem.

The seals are on the top of the valve cover, underneath the nuts.

These seals aren't whats causing oil to get onto the plugs though. All they do is seal the holes in the top of the valve cover.

Its the spark plug tube to cylinder head. Where the bottom of the spark plug tube screws into the cylinder head.

right

sorrie for a little mis-confusion,
what i really meant is there is no such thing as spark plug tube seal at where the spark plug sits, but there is something 88LE had pointed out, the plastic seal at the top of the valve cover is called gromet, there is only a small chance for the engine oil to flow from top of the tube down to the spark plug, on the other hand, the spark plug tube is sealed by only threads, and it might get loose due to vibration of the engine, and by taking apart the valve cover, and turn the spark plug tube that has wet spark plug by 1/4 to 1/2 of a turn, but be careful not to strip the thread.

the same incident has happen to my 5sFe, and i am speaking from my personal experience, but there could be something else wrong with your leak.
