Hey. Was just wondering if anybody has attempted or knows how to clean the headliner of our cars (gen4 specifically)? Mine is disgusting. I tried the few suggestions I have found and all of them just kinda smear the dirt around or grind it in more (soap and water, detergent, stain remover). I need something that will definatly work cause everytime i try something it just makes it look worse.
Any ideas?

The interior guy we have at the dealership told me about this stuff you can buy at Wal-mart, lowes and home depot for sure. I am sure there are other places also. it is called Folex. My wife has spilled coke in the floor board of the SIenna and he sprayed a little on there and wiped it off with a white terry cloth toewel. It worked pretty good. The stains had been there for a couple of months easy.

Honestly, i how do you guys dirty your headliner. At the most i use a sweater comb (its like a lint brush that you comb your sweaters with) - anyhow thats the max i use. As far a using a product i would recommend TUF-STUFF; i just don't know if tougher stains might bring down/sag the headliner in years to come

guess if you are tall enough, you might touch the headliner with ur head.
or if you get enough action...i mean millage in your cabin, you will definately get it dirty.

Well yea, that and i have been smoking in it for like...over 3 years. And like 75% of the people that ride in it (friends, family etc) all smoke, and grimy kids with their hands touching it just cause they can.

I cleaned my 3.5 tan headliner with just a wet /damp cloth, It had alot of nicotine stains on it and I thought that it was ruined, amazed me that it was that easy and came so clean maybe it was treated with scotch guard or something before I got it!

I've got some makeup on my headliner over the back seat, that stuff won't come out with plain water.
I also have some dirt from around the sunroof switch and the edge of the sunroof. Guess I'll try some of these things you guys suggested.

Makeup on the headliner......wonder how that got there........water will not remove that! but the dirt around your sunroof H20 may be all you need........Shocked me too! Hard to believe!
