3rd Generation 5s-gte

Ok well I searched but didn't find what I was looking for. DOes the 5s-gte have anything to do with a gain in hp? I keep reading it makes it hybird. What would I want to make a hybird motor isn't it slower? And isn't the 3s-gte fast so the 5s-gte should be to right? Well untill i get this mr2 from the police auction it will be a 5s-ge. Someone please explain to me the point of a 5s-gte.

I'm not an MR2 guy, but I'm sure its a 5SFE not a 5SGE.. the 5SFE is the motor that came in the non-turbo MR2s the 3SGTE is the motor that's in the MR2 Turbo. as for a 5SGTE.. never heard of one.. however people have turboed their 5SFEs making it a 5SFTE.

Well, theres a bunch of way a 5s-gte can be done ... But the 5s-gte 2.2Liter instantly makes more than a 2.0liter 3s-gte because of displacement. It spools the turbo quicker and has a ton more torque than a 3s-gte ... Now if you want to do a 2.1liter 5s-gte this has a better rod ratio and better rev'ability in higher rpm. theres also a 2.3liter, with is a over bored and over stroke 5s-gte

^ The man has spoken.

Listen to the Wraith. He knows his shit when it comes to building a 5S-GTE.
