Question?

hey guys whats up i've had my 2005 camry now for 3 weeks and its great but i've brought it back to the dealer a couple times for a vibration that i feel in my seat after 70mph. it feels as though the tires aren't balanced correctly but they have balanced them twice already and it hasn't worked any ideas of what else may be causing this besides a bad tire or poor balancing? has anyone else had this problem? thanks for the help

bad tire or bad rim. Have them check run out of the tire and athe rim both. If you are feeling it in the seat it is probably in the rear. If it continues there may be something in the driveline that is out of balance also. I dont know if they still use it but when I was working for Toyota we had a tool we could use to diagnose vibration problems. It has been a long time so I cant tell you how it worked but if balancing the tires and rotating tehm and all that good stuff didnt work e broke out the vibration finder tool. Obviously that is not the actual name of it but it works for on here.

thanks for the info i'm bringing it in once more for this and i'll ask them about this vibration detection tool i'm also going to suggest they switch wheels from another camry and if it goes away with the different wheels then i obviously have a bad tire/wheel

If the alignment is off it will not usually cause vibrations. There are parts of the suspension and steering taht affect the alignment that can go bad and cause vibrations though. However on a car that is 3 weeks old I seriously doubt that would be the situation in this case. More than likely it is jsut a bad tire or wheel. Have them check those things out and go from there. It is under warranty and the initial 12months 12000 mile service adjsutment warranty should cover it with no problem.
