3rd Generation My a/c compressor is whining

I posted a thread about this and no one answered so im asking again. Ok this is what happened. A month after ifilled up the ac i decided to put in more oil in there because i had a hugi leak and i thought that it los a lot of the oil since the oil was the first thing i put in there. So after i put the oil in i notice that it starts to whine when you accelerate to 2500 + rpm's and today i noticed that i now whines at idle and all rpm ranges. could it be that the oil was bad and i now need to take it to the machanic to get it flushed? or will it be ok with thye winning noise? The air is cold when it runs and runs ok but it makes that winning noise that is noticeable all the time the a/c is on.

did you use the right type oil?

diffrent compressors use diffrent oils. also if you mix gas that will mess things up too. also if you mixed anything more or less i say pull everything out clean it good and replace the filter/dryer.

Yes i have mixed two types of refrigerants and one oil from auto zone. then almost a month later after i put another 2oz can of oil from walmart it started making the whinning noise. How can i flush the system? what can i clean the dryer without replaceing it? Thanx.

this is why mixing oil/refrigerant is bad, in a normal house system you would have to replace the whole system. but this is a car so your in luck.

you need to pull all the pices out and buy some a/c flush/cleaner it comes in a bottle and you can buy it at your local part store. make sure you tell them your cleaning out the old oil for a r134a conversion. get the propper r134a oil. and a vaccume out the system after cleaning it all out and hooking everything back. also replace all o-rings.

dryers can not be cleaned they have to be replace but they are cheap like 20 from napa.
