Theres some tabs on the cover. You need to push on those tabs and the cover will release.
Then slide the cover over the wire and remove the wire from the distributor cap. The wire just pulls out, but make sure you pull on wire by the plug and not the wire itself.
If you can't figure it, let me know and I'll get some pictures for you. My Corolla uses the same type of setup.

98 Camry has DIS (distributorless ignition system). This applies to the I4 (5S-FE) and V6 (1MZ-FE).
You unplug the wires from the coils since theres no distributor.
