2nd Generation problem: little light on top of tachos

hi every at TN,

My dad owns a 1991 csi camry. There is a problem: you know the little lights up on top of the tachos, well the one that indicates whether your lights are on or off, is always on. i.e. when you start the car and you do not have your lights on, immediately when you press the brake pedal down, the little light comes on to say, that your lights are on, when you take your foot off the brake pedal it still stays on. I presume it has something to do with the computer, but could you guys please give me your opinions or how to fix it.

Jetspeed Camry will post a pic of where the little light is, just so u know what i am talking about.

I believe it's a simple case of a burnt out/burning out bulb. Camry's have a sensor which detects when a bulb has or is going to blow. If, when you press the brakes, that light comes on, I would think it means that the "brake" part of the globe (not the parker part) has blown or is going to, so it should be a simple task of replacing the dual fillament bulbs.

Same prob on my gen3. When hold the brake pedal down that indicator light comes on after about 4 seconds. As soon as I take my foot off the brake it turns off though.

edit- And I checked all of my brake lights by holding the pedal down with a brick asnd none were out

Check your brake fluid level.

actually, it's different on the gen3 (if that's how hte gen2s are like)
if you're low on brake fluid, the emergency brake light turns on and stays on
