BUMPER light went out,DIY way to fix it??helppp

HI BOYS ,i have a simple diy question,my corner bumper light went out.not my blinker light but
my parking light when u put ur parking lights on.i took my bumper light off to check the bulb,and i seen that the lines that go to connect to the light part,their are two lines that connect to the back,one of the lines are disconnected.almost like its snapped off.im wondering if theirs anyway i can reconnect it,so my bumper light will work again??if their any easy diy way??help me out peoplee,thasnxxxx

you mean the wire came off? are you able to just splice and crimp in another wire connecting it back?

how about taking it out and using a litlte a squishy thing called a brain.

combined with a pair of pliers, scissors, maybe some tape, im sure you could work something out...

or run to the junk yard and get a 100% discount.

ok gentleman thanx for the help,so i can snip the piece from the junkyard and connect the

old wire part to the one i get from the junkyard?tape the wires together and that'll work???

Well...

If the wire snapped off the connector, then you should probably get a new one, or one from the 'yard as has been suggested. It will work fine IF it is the correct connector. That is, if it fits, and the colors of the wires match the old one. If the colors don't match, then it will work only if you match up which wire corresponds to which part of the connector using the old one as a reference.

If the wire broke somewhere after the connector, you can save yourself a bunch of trouble by just splicing the wire back together.

Either way, if you've never done any wiring before, I would get a friend to show you the basics of stripping wires, splicing, and taping (it's really simple), or just get a shop to fix it.
