My car does the same thing during the second to third gear change, ever find out what is wrong? and did fixing that leak help your third acceleration?

it was a leak, i got it retightneed and shes all fine.

(i think) the reason it drops after gear changes is because the leak causes massive a/f fuck up (kind like a atmo bov) so bad that it looses power

and again, yeah fixing the leaked fixed it all up :P/

but now i have a typical 10 year old problem but its not too much concern-- my rear manifold is cracked LOL so when its cold i get the crap clipping noise but once it warms up the crack goes away and it all sounds good :P

edit: hey where have you been? lol

edit2: its not just 3rd, youre loosing over 1/2 a second in the 0-60mph run too, or at least i was when i had the leak. so now i do around the 8.7sec mark or so.

Sorry to thread jack, but what kinda effect would having exhaust puffing out of the weld just before the inlet of a new muffler have?

I just had a Magnaflow axle-back setup installed and when I was looking at the weld job (which isn't that great, he didn't even use an adapter pipe to go from the 2" stock piping--->2 1/4" inlet of the muffler ) I can feel exhaust coming out of the weld at the inlet of the muffler.

Also condensation was slightly leaking out of the weld where he cut the stock piping.

I went back and he said that's normal cause he couldn't weld it all the way around the pipe and the condensation is also normal, but if I wanted to I could come back and he'd use some type of muffler cement and fix it.

Didn't mean to thread jack but this is kinda along the same lines.

well that leak is aft of all the sensors

shouldnt affect the way the ecu monitors fuel delivery, wont affect the way the car drives.

i could hit 240 if i had the space to do it, the car pulls incredibly hard in 4th still.

gas: theres still at leas t5 liters UNDER the E line :P

a leak at the muffler wont cause a problem, but if its too close to the front whree gas pulsing is crucial, then its effect, b4 or after any sensor.

wow, a lot of ppl are having this problem? get ya manifold -> y pipe bolts retightened maybe, tahts what fixed mine up.
